The international coalition’s planes yesterday committed a massacre against civilians, killing at least 30 in Raqqa, Syria, according to the Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently campaign.
The group said international coalition planes killed 30 civilians in a new massacre committed after the homes of civilians near Muawiya Ibn Abu Sufyan School in the Al Mala’ab Al-Aswad area in Raqqa city were bombed.
Raqqa is witnessing on-going battles between Daesh gunmen and the Syrian Democratic Forces militias, supported by raids by the US-led international coalition forces. The militias have taken control of over two-thirds of the city.
Nine Daesh gunmen were killed in an airstrike that targeted a car transporting them between Maadan and Al-Tabani in Raqqa’s eastern suburb. This coincided with battles around Maadan between the Syrian regime and Daesh, which makes it likely that the airstrike was carried out by a Russian plane.
During this time, local sources said that Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham executed a leader from the Free Syrian Army a year after he was detained, along with a group of his companions in Idlib.
These sources told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham executed Osama Al-Khader, commander of the 21st Combined Force’s Hazm Storm Brigade, after he was detained by Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham.
